Term and Conditions
As you are entering a Counselling/Coaching course any personal information or issues shared by fellow students in course exercises or demonstrations will be strictly confidential and must be kept in the confines of the course. Although we make every effort to vet for suitable and harmonious candidates we must reserve the right to refuse entry or remove from the course any student whose behaviour, actions, punctuality or manner, we consider detrimental or inappropriate to fellow students/teachers/themselves without explanation or refund at any point.
In order to avoid the high cost and waste of e.g. constantly reprinting brochures we wish to state that it is possible that over time there may be some changes to the courses, venues or other information outlined in our brochure, web or other promotional material and that the course will be conducted in person or on zoom due to our judgement and government guidelines in relation to pandemics and other force majeure. It is normally the case that modules take place monthly except in August but
on rare occasions depending on when you begin the course it may be possible that two modules come up in the same month or there may be a module free month (but if this was to occur you will see any such anomaly well in advance in your schedule of module dates).
Some modules may be recorded for future students or so if you miss a module you can catch up so participation and acceptance of a course place offer acts as a release for any incidental appearance of your image during participation. However practise sessions are considered confidential and never filmed and footage of anyone who volunteers for a class demo will not be made available in a recording unless the student explicitly gives their permission.
Once you are on the Diploma course and have paid a full fee, deposit or part instalment there will be no refunds if your circumstances do not allow you to complete the course. However you will be offered the opportunity to join the course at a later date (must be within a year).
It will always be assumed (unless we have been told otherwise in advance) that you will attend each subsequent module in your given schedule. If a module is missed the student can take the alternative online prerecorded version with additional practise up to a maximum of 3 times throughout their course or alternatively retake at approx half the module cost next time around.
Continued progress requires up to date instalment payments and instalments are monthly consecutive (so still due in summer break or if you miss a module and need to postpone) and all outstanding fees must be settled before issue of a qualification.
Although we are aware that occasionally there can be unavoidable transport delays it is important that unless totally unavoidable you do not arrive late or leave earlier during course modules as this can be disruptive for teachers and other students and often key information is relayed near the beginning of the day. Teachers record an attendance list for each module and those who are regularly late could be asked to retake a module and may not achieve the attendance required to gain the full qualification. Completion of course modules, satisfactory participation, attendance and final assessment bestow the full Counselling qualification but in the very rare case of the above as unsatisfactory yet course completed we issue a certificate of attendance only. We also ask that you only use mobile phones during breaks and do recommend you limit their use as much as possible on course weekends to benefit fully from the healing aspects of the course..
Towards the end of the course those wishing to practise professionally will take an assessed client session. By the end of the course this will be a fairly easy process for most students but in theory this is not required if you only wish to attend the course for personal/spiritual development but it is mandatory if you wish to acquire the actual full Counselling qualification (which most students do). The Teachers/Assessors fee which includes providing written feedback and verbal pointers is £125 and can therefore only be paid at the time and not in advance. At the end of the course all students who successfully complete the course and assessment receive one main Diploma Certificate at no charge. However replacements for lost / extra certificates for sub qualifications will incur a £7.50 admin fee.
